I am the owner and artist behind the camera, but at home, I’m simply ‘Mom.’ My passion for photography has grown alongside my family, and I feel incredibly lucky to turn that passion into my career. I was raised with a strong work ethic, instilled in me by my hardworking parents, and it’s a value I hope to pass on to my children—to show them that anything worth having takes dedication and heart.
Creating has always been a part of who I am, and photography allows me to capture the beauty of life’s most meaningful moments. Based in Aberdeen, South Dakota, I specialize in maternity, milestone, lifestyle, family, and senior photography. I grew up in Southern South Dakota, met my wonderful husband while attending the University of South Dakota, and now cherish my role as a mama to our sweet boy.
My journey behind the camera began in 2018 when I documented my son’s entire first year. That experience made me realize just how precious it is to freeze time through photos, and I knew I wanted to help other families do the same. My goal is to create timeless keepsakes that bring joy for years to come—because life’s little moments deserve to be remembered

Hey there! I'm Tasha
My story didn’t begin with a camera in hand or a lifelong dream to be a photographer. I’ve always had a creative heart, but I was set on becoming a doctor. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, chasing a path I thought was meant for me.
But life has a way of gently rerouting us. I found out I was pregnant with our son halfway through my Master’s, and soon after, we moved back home to South Dakota from Kansas City. That’s when everything shifted.
It started simply—photographing my son, capturing his tiny details, his milestones, the beautiful chaos of early motherhood. What began as a way to hold on to fleeting moments grew into something bigger: a deep love for storytelling through photos.
That’s when I knew—this was the legacy I wanted to build. Not just for my own family, but for others, too.

The Beginning:
When you find someone who is in your corner through every stage of life, you do not let them go. My husband is not only up for every photo and every crazy idea I have, but truly makes my world go around. He is always the one fielding technological issues and my number one cheerleader. Even if he hates getting his photos taken, he does it every time I ask him to take another one.
I wouldn’t call myself a full-on Swiftie, but I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan from the start. I saw her in concert at Lucas Oil Stadium when her very first album dropped, and she’s been part of my soundtrack ever since. Evermore is my favorite—there’s something so whimsical and emotional about it that just pulls me in. I even walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of one of her songs, which felt so perfectly me.
Music has always been a big part of my life. I grew up with a mom who loved everything—from Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton to Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Three Doors Down, Alex Warren, Maren Morris, and Halsey—so my playlists are a little bit of everything. That mix of nostalgia, storytelling, and emotion is a huge part of how I see the world… and how I capture it through my lens.
To me, photos are like songs—they freeze a feeling, a moment, a memory. Whether it’s a wild laugh, a quiet glance, or a joyful chaos only your family understands, I want to catch it all in a way that feels honest and timeless.
Creating brings me so much joy, and one of my favorite ways to create is through gardening. Growing cut flowers has become a true passion of mine. I grow nearly all of my flowers for personal use from seeds or tubers, carefully nurturing them from the very beginning. The same goes for most of my vegetable garden — I love starting everything from seed. Occasionally, if the season gets off to a late start or a few plants don't thrive, I'll pick up a few replacements from my favorite local nursery. Every bloom and every plant is part of a story I'm proud to grow by hand.
Getting my hands messy with paint is one of my favorite ways to create. Growing up, my mom always encouraged us to be creative, and painting quickly became a passion of mine. Every painting in our home is one I've created, allowing me to customize each piece to fit exactly what we're looking for.
One of my greatest joys is painting for my son, who is always dreaming up new ideas for his bedroom decor. I love bringing his vision to life with fresh, hand-painted artwork — it's just one more way creativity fills our home with meaning and memories.
I absolutely love creating
Not only do I love growing cut flowers, but I also can't wait to get them into a vase and create something magical for our space. Arranging flowers wasn't something I initially imagined myself loving, but I quickly discovered a hidden talent for it during my time in Mitchell FFA.
As a freshman, I joined the Floriculture team, later competing on the Nursery Landscaping team — where we won state and had the incredible opportunity to compete at Nationals. FFA played such an important role in nurturing my love for floral design. Working closely with my advisor and a local florist in Mitchell, I learned not only how to grow beautiful blooms, but also how to design and arrange them into the perfect bouquet.
Those early experiences sparked a passion that continues to grow with me today. Every arrangement I create is a reflection of the joy and creativity that flowers bring into our lives.
